AS PEER EDUCATOR
Our N.S.S. students worked as peer educator in “Pediatrician’s action for teenager’s health” exhibition which was organized by Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Nashik on 16th & 17th November 2017 at Kurkoti Snhagruh, Gangapur Road, Nashik.
In the month of October president of IPA Dr. Mrs. Sangeeta Bafana approached to the College through a letter for a voluntary participation of students in Path program which Aimed with healthy adolescence and prevention and precautions of adolescence related problem.
Eleven students of 3rd BHMS along with Dr. Mrs. Swapna Thorat (lecturer dept. FMT) participated in the program. They were trained by members of IPA on 9th & 10th November 2017 to work as peer educator in the exhibition which was planned on 16th & 17th of November 2017. All peer educators appeared for Exit test and participated in Poster competition which was on 15th of November 2017. Our students Miss. Nidhi Bhansali & Miss. Vaishali Solanke win 1st & 2nd prize respectively in poster competition.
Exhibition was inaugurated by the auspicious hands of Dr. Deelip Mhaisekar Vice-Chancellor of MUHS Nashik & Mr. Ravindra Singal, Commissioner of Police, Nashik. Students got an opportunity to attend the panel discussions by panellist which was very informative. All these peer educator discussed regarding problems in adolescent age, prevention etc. with all teenager students of different schools and visitors who visited the exhibition. This was very unique and brain storming activity for them. Students were satisfied in terms of knowledge gaining event. All peer educators were rewarded by President IPA Nashik.
